The booking score gives travellers and managers a quick, data-driven view of booking behaviour — specifically, how far in advance bookings are made relative to the travel date. A higher score reflects stronger advance planning, which typically leads to better fares and more availability.
Where to find it
The booking score appears on the Travel record tab of a user profile.
- Travellers can see their own score under Profile → Travel record.
- Managers and admins can view any traveller’s score via Users → select user → Travel record.
How the score is calculated
The score is based on the traveller’s most recent 5 bookings. For each booking, the system calculates the lead time — the number of days between the original booking date and the travel start date — and maps it to a score of 1–5:
| Score | Booking lead time |
|---|---|
| 5 | 22 or more days before travel |
| 4 | 14–21 days before travel |
| 3 | 8–13 days before travel |
| 2 | 4–7 days before travel |
| 1 | 3 days or fewer before travel |
The traveller’s overall score is the average of the 5 individual booking scores, so the result can be a decimal (for example, 4.5).
Note: Lead time is always based on the original booking date. Changes or modifications made after the initial purchase do not affect the score.
What counts towards the score
The following rules determine whether and how a booking is included:
- A minimum of 5 eligible bookings is required before a score is displayed.
- All bookings count — regardless of approval status or booking status.
- Only the most recent 5 bookings are used, provided the most recent booking is within the past 3 months.
- The score follows the traveller, not the booker. If someone else makes a booking on your behalf, it still counts towards your score.
