Our platform is built on the foundation of full transparency and giving travellers and managers all the information available to make informed decisions.
When making bookings, we often encourage team members to book the "best" fare available. The term "best" is obviously up for interpretation, which why we share alternative fares during the approval process.
How it works
At the moment, we are storing alternative flight fares whenever a booking is made (hotels are not available yet). These flights are stored and ranked based on a combination of travel duration and price.
- Whenever a manager or admin reviews a booking, they will be able to view these alternative fares on the approvals details page.
- When they receive the approval request email, we also share the alternative fares found in the email.
During the beta, the fare information is for informational purposes only and limited to flights. We will be adding more advanced features to this soon.
What's next
Over the next few weeks we will be improving this feature further with,
- Fare comparisons on the check out flow (for bookers)
- Fare comparison report (csv) files for admins
- Have separate fare comparison CSV files available (list of booked flights vs the best alternative)
