If you need to generate a booking report with breakdowns by airlines and destinations for all flights, here's a quick and straightforward way to do it using TruTrip’s self-serve platform:
- Access Bookings Report: Navigate to the "Manage" section and select "Bookings Report".
- Set Custom Date Range:
- Click on the "Custom Date" option (labelled as 1 in the attached image).
- Select a date you need your report for.
- Select All Records: Click on the icon "Booking type" and select all records within the date range.
- Export as CSV: Click the "Export as CSV" button. Although the system indicates the data will be with you within an hour, it usually takes less than 5 minutes.
- Open the CSV File: Once you receive the CSV file, open it in either Google Sheets or Excel.
- Create a Pivot Table:
- In Excel, go to "Insert" and then select "PivotTable".
- Use the following settings for the pivot table:
- Rows: Set to "Vendor" (airline name).
- Columns: Set to "Booking Date". Excel will automatically organize this into years, quarters, and months.
- Values: Set to "Sum of Fare". Airlines are usually interested in the fare amount rather than the total amount including taxes and fees. Do clarify with the airline that this is the Fare amount excluding taxes, fees, and any agency charges.
This should provide you with a detailed report by the airline. As a company heavily invested in leveraging technology for travel management, using TruTrip's self-serve capabilities aligns perfectly with your needs.
