Can I change or cancel a confirmed train booking?
Train bookings can be changed as long as there are other available tickets. Only the date of travel, train number, or seat can be changed. The departure station and arrival station (except for stations in the same city) cannot be changed.
You may cancel your train ticket and get a refund up to two hours before the train’s departure.
What are the rules of a ticket change?
- You may request a ticket change if the departure date is more than 48 hours
- If you’d like to change your ticket within 48 hours of train departure, then the change allowed is only for trains departing on the same date as your original ticket.

How to pay the price difference when changing tickets
You will be informed of the price difference via email and the additional charge will be made to the payment method used for booking. If the new ticket is priced lower, you will be issued a refund of the price difference.
How to cancel and refund train tickets online
Log in to your TruTrip account and go to the ‘My Trips’ tab to create a cancellation request. Once the cancellation is complete, your deposit account will be credited with the refund amount.
